Park(ing) Day

This year is the 20th anniversary of Park(ing) Day!  Park(ing) day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people. 

Get your team together to create a parklet within existing Richmond street parking for a day.  First design your parklet thinking about ground cover, enclosure, seating, interaction, shade, and constructability.  Next identify a location for your installation (street parking with all day parking)  and claim your spot on September 19^th.  Finally construct your parklet to enjoy for the day.
