The American Institute of Architects Richmond was founded in 1976.

Professional Development

The Professional Development committee seeks out and coordinates educational opportunities for the
membership. We look to recognized names and brands for quality and structural continuing education
programs. This allows members to expand their knowledge and earn continuing education credits that
meet the requirements of the AIA and State Licensing Board. Monthly events are facilitated by
architecture firms and Allied members throughout Richmond.

Courses and programs are certified by the AIA and include:

  • Lunch and Learn
  • Hard Hat Tours
