Job Summary:

Our Project Architect’s responsibilities will include contributing to design aspects of a major project or multiple smaller projects. Participating in and at times leading in the planning, design, and coordination of projects to best meet client needs is what this role is all about! The Project Architect would also be encouraged to become a guide and a mentor for architectural staff who might be earlier on in their careers.

1. Professional Degree in Architecture, licensure preferred.
2. 8+ years’ experience as a Designer/Project Architect, must have K-12 and educational project experience.
3. Experience in all phases of design; feasibility/schematic studies through construction administration. Strong portfolio highlighting design skills preferred.
4. Proven Revit proficiency.
5. Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
6. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients, consultants, and staff.

What you’ll be doing:
• Lead Principals and Directors of Operations, Quality, CA, and Specifications,
• Manage and lead employees to ensure efficiency across multiple office locations in different time zones,
• Develop training and mentorship programs and initiatives, including programs for leadership,
• Develop annual business plans, strategies, and methodologies necessary for the ongoing growth and development of the firm,
• Work closely with the CEO and other leaders to support firm initiatives,
• Partner with internal/external resources to promote the use of technology throughout the firm that drive quality, efficiency, and design excellence.
Here’s what you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred,
• 10+ years of experience in an Operations Executive role in AEC firms,
• Excellent leadership, managerial, and business skills,
• Experience working for multi-state organizations,
• Proven experience in profitable operational leadership and management,
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, be flexible to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner,
• Proficient in Deltek Vantagepoint, Microsoft Office Suite or related software; Excel proficiency a must.

PSH+ is a relatively small but growing Architectural & Interior Design firm based in Richmond, VA. The clients we serve include a sustained book of work for a variety of healthcare groups, ranging in scale from health systems to sole practitioners.
