AIA Richmond is committed to supporting the next generation of architects.

Scholarship 2025

The chapter is now accepting applications for its 2025 scholarship program through June 16, 2025.

ELIGIBILITY

Graduating seniors from the Greater Richmond Metropolitan area that have been accepted into architecture degree program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) are eligible to apply for the $10,000 scholarship.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications for the 2025 award are being accepted through June 16, 2025.

Application materials include:

  • A personal essay (see details below)
  • School transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation (provided non-family members)
  • Letter of acceptance into an architecture degree program

If selected, the applicant will be required to supply a W9, a photograph, and a completed student demographic form.

ESSAY

The personal essay should be no more than 500 words. In the essay, please address the following:

Identify three elements of architecture in your community that influenced you. Why is this architecture important to you? Why is this architecture important to your community?
