Call for Interest: Emerging Leaders in Architecture 2024

AIA Richmond is accepting applications for the component nominee for 2024 AIA Virginia Emerging Leaders in Architecture (ELA) program. ELA is in its 15th year of providing intensive educational sessions for the top designers and architects from across the Commonwealth to build leadership skills and provide unique networking opportunities.

The AIA Richmond Board of Directors will be making their component nominee recommendation following the Oct. 10 board meeting. The Richmond component nominee will receive a letter of nomination from the Board and be granted 50% of the tuition cost for the program.

Any emerging professional interested in becoming the component nominee shall apply with the following by 5 p.m. on Oct. 5th, 2023:

  • Letter of interest to AIA RVA Board of Directors detailing why they are the best candidate for component nomination
  • Completed 2024 ELA Application page (see 2024-ELA-Application.pdf at the above link)
  • One-page resume which should include education, organizations, community activities, honors and awards
  • A 500-word essay discussing the relationship between leadership and architecture and your role in both

Applicants must be an active AIA or Associate AIA member.
